Headlight Bucket Reinforcement Brackets (Set for flip nose car)

Everyone loves our front flip kit. This conversion kit makes opening the bonnet much easier than the factory design, thus reducing strain on your lower back. A flip forward nose can be opened with one hand... no more wrestling with the nose. And a flip forward nose makes engine access superior.

Since we started installing these kits on our cars, we've constantly been looking for ways to improve the operation. The first round of additional upgrades to our front flip kit was the weld-in X bracing, which helps to limit the amount of wiggle in the bonnet while flipping it forward. 

Our latest add-on upgrade to the front flip kit is our headlight bucket reinforcement brackets. While installing the X bracing, we've noticed additional stress on the nose sheet metal where the radiator shrouding is tack welded to the headlight buckets. This additional stress can cause the nose to crack at the headlight buckets, so these new reinforcements will reduce that liability and are recommended for all flip forward nose conversions.

This reinforcement bracket kit includes four flat unfinished steel pieces. They need to be properly radiused to your individual nose since every nose is slightly different. Once you radius that piece of the kit by bending it to conform to your particular nose, you'll need to weld it to the other flat metal piece to complete your bracing kit. Welding skills are required to weld the components together (off the car) before bolting your brace in place!
