Couldn't load pickup availability
Unfortunately, our premium slotted slave is on back order with an ETA of early 2027. Since we know that hydraulic leaks wait for no one, we've made these economic ones available to hold us over!
However, we still slot the economic slave cylinder to make installation easier for you!
Our slave is designed with the installer in mind! Traditionally, it is difficult to remove the upper mounting bolt due to the slave mount on the bell housing being very close to the body of the car. Trying to get a wrench on the upper bolt can be challenging, and the narrow work arear gets smaller as the bolt unscrews.
Our modified slave cylinder allows you to simply loosen the top bolt then slide the slave cylinder into position under the bolt without having to remove the bolt completely from the bell housing.
INSTALLATION NOTE 1: The bleeder screw on the slave can sometimes come from the supplier with the bleeder screw in the forward-facing hole on the slave. This is done for shipping purposes, but is incorrect for installation, as the bleeder needs to be in the top hole to allow the air to be bled from the clutch hydraulic system properly! We generally try to swap it to the correct hole before we ship it, but sometimes we don't catch it. See the photo of the slave properly installed with the bleed screw facing upward for easy bleeding.
INSTALLATION NOTE 2: This 7/8 slave is designed to the fit metal line and flared fitting that came standard on all Bugeyes. Some cars have been retrofit to a 1" slave that requires a flexible line. If your car is fed by a flexible rubber line (and not a rigid metal one), click here to order that type-we sell a premium version of the one inch slave as well.
