One of our favorite upgrades on a Sprite is a 5 speed gearbox! Now we have a 5 speed solution for (6 Cylinder) Big Healeys as well!
This is a brand new Tremec 5 speed that has been adapted to be used with Big Healeys. This kit uses the bell housing from the original gearbox and is mated to the Tremec using an adapter plate (this kit is available to mate to center shift OR side shift bell housings - click the proper option above).
There are many benefits when you switch to this kit: • Fully synchronized first and reverse gear - get rid of non synchro first gear! • Improved gear ratios so first and second gears are much more user friendly • Get rid of the often problematic and finicky overdrive transmission and enjoy reliable five speed cruising every time

This kit it made to order, so it will take about 4 weeks to complete once you order.

We provide the correct speedometer cable drive for 165x15 tires. If your tire size is different, let us know and we will help you get speedo gear for the most accurate speedo reading.
