Front Suspension Major Rebuild Kit (All Spridgets)

If you are rebuilding the front end of your Sprite, this is the kit you need. It features everything shown here, including new king pins, new bushings for your swivel axles, new shock bushings, new fulcrum pins, and everything else you need to refresh your front end.

Be sure to choose disc or drum brakes. Both kits are the same with the exception of the drum or disc king pins and bushings to match (drum king pins cost a bit more).

One kit required per car. Swivel axle bushings will need to be pressed in to your swivel axles and reamed to fit. 

FITMENT NOTE: The Drum Brake Major Kit will fit all Sprites through 1961 with front drum brakes. The Disc Brake Major Kit will fit all Sprites and Midgets up to 1980 with king pin front suspensions and front disc brakes.

INSTALLATION NOTE: Make sure the trunnion at the top of the swivel axle is installed in the proper direction! Click photo below for more info!

INSTALLATION NOTE 2: There is some debate about the location of the included rubber o-rings in the kit, both the round-face rubber o-ring (#6 in the diagram) and the flat-face rubber o-ring (not present in the diagram). The ROUND o-ring (#6) is fitted as shown in the diagram, under the swivel axle on the king pin. The FLAT/SQUARE o-ring (not present in the diagram) is supposed to go between the top of the dust tube (not included) and the bottom of the upper king pin bushing hole. This is often not used.
