Now you can confirm the exact engine number and original color and equipment that shipped on your Bugeye. Send us your chassis number and we will send you a print-out of the original build sheet for your car. For example, you’ll learn the original delivery destination and build date, as well as the factory equipment that came on your Bugeye. This record is provided by British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, who maintains the original build records for all Sprites and Midgets.
This is a nice certificate of authenticity that every Bugeye should have, and this document certainly helps enhance the value of your investment when and if you decide to transfer your car to a new owner! Shipping included!
This certificate is $99.95 including shipping to your door. You'll receive a stamped paper document suitable for framing, shipped flat in a large envelope.
To order, click on "add to cart" and then "add a note to your order." in this box you can write the Chassis number of your car. That number is found on a plaque underneath the carburetors under the hood of your car. This number may or may not match the VIN number on your title.
If you also have the BAE number from the passenger side forward door jam (located between the hinges above the check strap) that will also help ensure you get accurate information. If your car still has a BAE number showing, please list that in note box on your order after the chassis number. You must provide either the chassis number or the BAE number to get a certificate. Please provide both chassis and BAE numbers if possible.
